Umoja, meaning “unity” in Swahili, provides free access to student support services, counseling, scholarships, and most importantly a sense of belonging. Umoja has helped thousands of Black and African American students at California community colleges and is one of many resources available. You CAN accomplish your dreams; you just need to know where to start.
